As a fitness instructor that recently converted to Jazzercise just a few years ago, I suggest that you check out a class before criticizing it. There is a reason the program has survived for so long while other fitness fads have come and gone. It stays current with the times both in it's music choices and workouts; it blends all of the classes you speak of in your article, and it's fun! Are there Jazz hands? Rarely...but yes, they do still exist. However, there is so much more. The blend of cardio and muscle work in every class, as well as the variety, keeps drawing new people to class. Go to Jazzercise.com to find a class near you and then let us know what you think!
