Is Junk Food Really Cheaper?

I took a little bit of fire when I came out fully in favour of the proposed “junk food taxes” that have been making news recently.  Apparently, though, junk food already is taxed.  By the people who sell junk food.

Just one thought about comparing these “meals”.  $28 of flour, sugar and lard to $14 of meat and vegetables… seems like apples to oranges.
